Friends of Pickering Park

          Kingston-upon Hull

The Friends of Pickering Park are a voluntary

community group and registered charity

Pickering Park is situated on the West side of Hull. It is a large park of 25.62 acres.

Within the park there's a toddler play area and junior/youth play area, with various play equipment including a trim trail and zip wire; outdoor exercise equipment, paddling pool (only open during six weeks' summer holiday) sensory garden, rock garden, football pitches and an 80 peg fishing lake. (We used to have an aviary, but it was closed in summer 2016; due to health and safety reasons).

There are two entrances to the park; you can enter through the main gates on Hessle High Road or the side gates down Pickering Road West. The main gates are accessible on foot only via two side entrances; the gates are no longer opened due to their poor state, which makes it a health and safety issue therefore not accessible by car. To enter the park by car you will need to go down the West side of Pickering Road and through the side gates.

Note! We are in close proximity of a park called Peter Pan, which is situated on the North Pickering Road, Pickering Park is situated on the West Pickering Road.
